Requirements
Core Experience:
Extensive experience in SAP Direct Tax, including Corporate and Withholding Tax reporting
Proven experience delivering ECC to S/4HANA transformation projects
Experience with Property Tax Management Systems (PTMS)
Strong knowledge of corporate tax, income tax, and international tax frameworks
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for tax reporting and risk analysis
Experience with SAP PaPM for transfer pricing automation and margin control
Knowledge of SAP Tax Compliance tools for automated audits and risk identification
Ability to investigate system issues and identify root causes
Experience working with AI-based tools:
Knowledge of Asset Accounting and Revenue Accounting integration is an advantage
Leadership & Functional Skills:
Strong communication skills and professional presence when engaging senior stakeholders
Proven ability to work closely with finance leadership and process owners
Experience contributing to high-performing, business-focused teams
Agile & Systems:
Solid understanding of Agile methods, Azure DevOps, and Power Platform applications
Experience planning and leading Agile projects and supporting stakeholders
Integration & Compliance:
Experience integrating S/4HANA with other ERP systems and third-party applications
Strong background in tax audits, regulatory compliance, and issue resolution
Ability to support effective tax planning and liability management
Skills & Attributes for Success:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
ACA or ACCA qualification, plus CTA or significant practical tax experience
A solid understanding of IFRS and how it applies to tax accounting
Proven people management experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
Strong relationship-building skills across different business functions

This role leads the Corporate Tax and VAT team within the Tax and Financial Control department. Covering maternity leave for the current manager, you will join a supportive and collaborative team focused on ensuring Samsung Electronics remains a compliant and responsible taxpayer.
Role & Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Tax and Financial Control, you will be responsible for managing both Direct and Indirect tax matters, including:
Overseeing the UK corporation tax compliance process for the UK entity and Irish branch, including reviewing UK RDEC claims
Preparing tax provisions and disclosures for monthly, quarterly, and annual group and local reporting
Maintaining local transfer pricing documentation:
Ensuring compliance with internal control requirements on a monthly and quarterly basis
Managing the preparation and submission of VAT returns for the UK and Ireland
Monitoring business activities and advising on tax risks and opportunities
Ensuring appropriate corporation tax and VAT accounting processes are in place
Acting as the main point of contact with HMRC’s Customer Compliance Manager
