Account Director, Large Enterprise
OpenAI is looking for an experienced Account Director to lead strategic sales efforts with large enterprise customers in the Asia-Pacific region. As part of the Go-To-Market team, you’ll play a critical role in helping businesses understand the transformative potential of advanced AI models like ChatGPT and DALL·E. You will be responsible for managing a small portfolio of high-value enterprise accounts, owning the full sales cycle from engagement to deployment and expansion. This position requires deep experience in platform or software-as-a-service (PaaS/SaaS) sales, a track record of large revenue targets, and a passion for the future of AI. You'll work closely with technical, product, and engineering teams to design bespoke customer solutions, shape the product roadmap, and contribute to OpenAI’s growing presence in the enterprise space. This is a hybrid role based in Sydney, with relocation support available for top candidates.
Requirements
10+ years in SaaS or PaaS enterprise sales.
Proven history of exceeding $2M+ annual revenue targets for 3+ years.
Deep experience managing complex, high-value deal cycles.
Strong executive-level communication and relationship skills.
Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Ability to translate technical AI capabilities into business value.
Experience leading events such as conferences or product launches.
Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.
