Aerospace Systems Support Engineer
Integration Avionics/Air Vehicle Product Support Engineer to perform in-depth problem analysis, troubleshooting on and off aircraft, and in-house technical support of Avionics/Air Vehicle and related systems (EW, CNI, Avionics Integration, Weapons, Vehicle Management System, Fuels, Hydraulics). Investigate and respond to Action Requests (AR) identifying unique or repetitive (operational and maintenance) system anomalies that require technical, procedural, programmatic, or quality assurance actions to resolve. Investigate Air Force Deficiency Reports by conducting laboratory analyses and develop technical responses to same. Thoroughly and accurately document all significant operational/maintenance anomalies. This individual will provide field technical support to contractor Field Service Engineers (FSEs) and customer personnel on F-22 operational, training and test sites. Maintain open lines of communication with LM Aero FSEs and Air Force F-22 maintenance and operations personnel to provide proactive support on assigned systems and to advise and status problem reports and action requests. Coordinate evaluation of impacts from proposed problem resolution. Research, develop, and disseminate activity reports, Urgent Field notices, and other information as required to field units for each assigned system. Remain current on all proposed and pending engineering changes for assigned systems and monitor systems performance indicators to identify emerging failure trends. Provide on-site support as requested by customer, site manager or program management. Perform Integrated Fighter Group Operations Center support and management reporting actions as required. Coordinate appropriate disposition instructions for DR exhibits. Support program technical interchange meetings and program plans development relating to problem analysis & disposition and in-house technical support.
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• Must be willing to work any shift and weekends if necessary to support operational objectives. Must be willing to deploy worldwide and to remote areas. May require Military vaccinations.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess a Secret clearance
• Current/Prior Recent F-22 Hands on Complex Integrated
Avionics/Air Vehicle System Troubleshooting and/or Repair
experience
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience/combined
education
Desired Skills:
• Strong Communication, Technical Writing, and
Analytical skills with Customer focus/Product Support in
mind.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft 365 Suite of tools including
Teams.
• Self starter, innovative, ability to troubleshoot complex
issues using multiple approaches. Able to perform daily
work with little to no guidance required.
• Knowledge/use of COTS tools and experience in Data
Analytics, data mining, data manipulation
