AI Sales Director - APAC
OpenAI is hiring an Account Director to join its Go-To-Market team in Sydney, focusing on strategic sales to digital-native businesses. You’ll help customers understand how OpenAI’s powerful AI models can transform their industries—guiding them from initial engagement through to successful deployment and long-term adoption. In this role, you’ll drive end-to-end sales cycles, collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and solution teams, and develop deep relationships with customer executives. You’ll be accountable for revenue growth while influencing OpenAI’s product roadmap through industry insights. Ideal candidates have strong experience in enterprise software sales, are passionate about artificial intelligence, and thrive in fast-moving, builder-focused environments. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how AI is adopted across Asia-Pacific, while working closely with a mission-driven team at the forefront of global technology.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in SaaS or PaaS enterprise sales.
Proven success with complex, high-value deal structuring.
Experience working with C-level executives.
Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
Deep understanding of go-to-market strategies.
Experience in high-growth tech environments.
Strong curiosity and passion for AI technologies.
