Associate Director, Enablement & Data Insights
AstraZeneca is seeking an Associate Director, Enablement & Data Insights to join its Global Project & Portfolio Management (GPPM) Platforms team. Based in Mississauga with a hybrid work model, this role is key to enabling data-driven decisions through advanced business intelligence (BI) reporting and analytics. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise reporting tools using platforms like Power BI, enhancing transparency, usability, and reusability across the organization. With a sharp focus on continuous improvement, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to develop standardized data assets, uphold data quality, and educate teams on best practices. You will be an advocate for strong data governance, delivering actionable insights that empower business stakeholders in a global pharmaceutical environment. Requirements
1. University degree in business, science, or equivalent experience
2. Experience building and delivering business reporting solutions using BI tools (Power BI preferred)
3. Familiarity with SQL, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Python
4. Understanding of data modeling, databases, and data warehousing
5. Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills
6. Knowledge of Planisware or other PPM tools
Desirable:
7. Pharma industry experience and understanding of the drug development process
8. Experience working in cross-functional teams
9. Excellent communication and senior-level presentation skills
10. Ability to adapt to diverse data and business needs

Responsibilities
1. Develop and enhance BI dashboards to support strategic decision-making
2. Design visualizations for clarity, accessibility, and business relevance
3. Promote reuse and accessibility of reporting assets across departments
4. Identify improvement opportunities in data visibility and analytics usage
5. Build analytical tools aligned with enterprise business goals
6. Support internal communication and training on reporting tools
7. Ensure scalable, standardized, and high-quality data products
8. Collaborate with data engineers to maintain robust data flows
9. Provide technical support and documentation for self-service analytics
10. Foster adoption of best practices in data governance and visualization
