Associate Director, U.S. Communications, Vaccines
Sanofi is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director of U.S. Communications to support its growing Vaccines business. Based in Morristown, NJ, this strategic role will lead both internal and external communications efforts across the vaccine portfolio, showcasing Sanofi’s innovation, market leadership, and commitment to public health. The role involves developing integrated communications strategies across brand priorities, managing agency partners, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging with key stakeholders. This position reports to the Head of U.S. Communications, Vaccines and will play a key role in shaping the public narrative around Sanofi’s vaccines pipeline and commercial portfolio. Ideal for a proactive, collaborative, and results-driven communicator with experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field
2. 6-8 years of corporate communications experience, preferably in healthcare or pharma
3. Experience in internal and external communications strategy and execution
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
5. Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
6. Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment
7. Issues and risk management experience
8. Knowledge of digital and social media strategy
9. Ability to influence senior leadership
10. U.S. work authorization required

Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement integrated internal and external communication strategies for the U.S. Vaccines business
2. Partner with global media and communications teams to align messaging across regions and channels
3. Lead programs supporting brand awareness, product launches, and public health initiatives
4. Manage communications agency relationships and ensure high-quality deliverables
5. Support thought leadership, branded content, and digital campaigns
6. Create materials for internal stakeholders including leadership messaging and executive comms
7. Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate Affairs, Medical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams
8. Monitor media coverage and measure communications performance
9. Contribute to crisis and issues management efforts
10. Drive innovation in digital and social media communications
