Batteries power many of the most exciting devices Apple makes. Have you ever wondered how it all works? We focus on testing core technologies such as battery design, gas gauging, charging/discharging, as well as the battery related software features in the operating system. This is your chance to join a key team driving the quality of future Apple products. In this role, you will be testing the integration of hardware, firmware, software and algorithms. You will have the opportunity to expand your expertise in battery technology, test automation and product quality, and explore many more possibilities.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science field and 5+ years of experience.
5+ years of experience programming in Python and/or C/C++.
Experience in automation and testing consumer products.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English.
Preferred Qualifications
An ambition to learn battery technologies.
Strong working knowledge of UNIX-like operating systems.
Ability to write high quality test plans.
Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and innovate.
Solid debugging experience and ability to investigate and triage complex problems.
Detail oriented and strive for product excellence.
Customer Focused: Passionate about the customer experience and what we can do to improve it.

Responsibilities

Develop and run battery technology test plans with primary focus on customer experience.
Review existing test coverage and identify areas for improvement.
Triage, debug and conduct in-depth battery analysis of software, hardware and system issues.
Apply data-driven expertise and deep engineering knowledge to influence program decisions.
Collaborate and provide cross functional teams with detailed status and progress throughout the development cycle.
Evaluate existing tools and opportunities to incorporate new tools into the testing process.
Coordinate a small external team, responsible for technical training, task assignment, data collection.
