STEMCELL Technologies is seeking a Building Systems Specialist to lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of building infrastructure and essential facility services at our St. Egreve site. This role involves managing both hard (e.g. HVAC, access control, boilers) and soft (e.g. cleaning, pest control) facility services while ensuring full compliance with local regulations and internal quality standards such as ISO13485 and GMP. As the key liaison between facilities and other departments—including Supply Chain, Sales, and EHS—you’ll play a critical role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. This hands-on role may require occasional after-hours support in case of facility emergencies.

Requirements

Prior experience in facility maintenance or management.

Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical fields is an asset.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer-focused approach.

Familiarity with regulatory and statutory maintenance standards.

Experience in GMP or biotech environments is an asset.

Proficiency in CMMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot building systems including HVAC, cold rooms, boilers, and fire/access control systems.

Ensure all maintenance complies with statutory requirements and internal QMS (ISO13485/GMP).

Coordinate scheduled and emergency maintenance with vendors and internal teams.

Manage and oversee facility upgrades, vendor services, and maintenance programs.

Support and promote sustainability initiatives through energy monitoring and system optimization.

Serve as main point of contact for facility-related inquiries across the organization.

Respond to facility emergencies, including after-hours if needed.
