Responsibilities
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and nurture a pipeline of new business opportunities to drive profitable revenue growth within the SME division. This position involves managing and influencing various daily and strategic matters within the new business team. You will play a key role in enhancing sales returns via structured, objective oversight of sales activities and processes. Additionally, you will be vital in ensuring that Biffa remains leader in service offerings, business models, and operational methods.
Core Responsibilities include:
- Actively and reactively pursuing profitable new business within a designated territory to achieve established targets.
- Meeting and surpassing quarterly and annual new business goals.
- Overseeing a sales territory or prospect lists to identify business opportunities.
- Logging calls, leads, quotes, and contract activities into the Company Operating System.
- Creating and delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
- Collaborating regularly with the Depot Manager, Regional General Manager, and Regional Commercial Manager to strategize sales initiatives within the region.
- Serving as the main point of contact between Biffa and our prospective customers.
- Handling sales prospecting and negotiating pricing.
