Full Time Entry Level Healthcare Administration Remote

Guidehouse is hiring a Charge Corrections Medical Coder to join its General Coding team. This full-time, remote role supports the review and correction of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes across multi-specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The successful candidate will evaluate charge correction requests, ensure coding accuracy, and adhere to insurance and billing guidelines including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer standards. Responsibilities also include filing replacement claims, reviewing LCD/NCD criteria, and identifying trends for process improvement. Initial training is conducted onsite Monday to Friday for 3-6 months, after which work is 90% remote. Candidates should hold a current CPC, CPC-A, or CCS certification and have a minimum of 3 months of relevant coding experience. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of medical necessity, CCI edits, and outpatient grouping systems are also required. Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
2. At least 3 months of medical coding experience (school or on-the-job)
3. Active AAPC CPC, CPC-A, or AHIMA CCS certification
4. Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding
5. Ability to assess medical necessity based on documentation
6. Knowledge of billing standards (HCFA-1500, Medicare/Medicaid edits, MUEs)
7. Ability to code for various settings (ED, outpatient, therapies, etc.)
8. Working knowledge of MS Excel
