Are you a dynamic and visionary leader with a deep understanding of IP networking and a passion for driving organizational transformation? Do you excel at coaching teams through significant shifts in technology and mindset? We are seeking an experienced Team Manager, Transformation of Core Network Engineering to lead our core IP network provisioning team through a critical evolution.
This is not just a management role; it's a leadership position focused on enabling a fundamental change in how our network is provisioned. You will be responsible for guiding your team from traditional, device-centric deployment practices, leveraging existing automation pipelines, towards a future where they are actively co-developing the intent-based automation tools that power our next-generation IP network. Your success will be measured by your ability to upskill and empower your team to embrace new technologies and methodologies, ultimately contributing to our journey towards highly autonomous networking.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in IP networking, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role focused on network operations or automation.
Strong foundational knowledge of IP networking concepts, protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS), and device configurations (Nokia, Juniper, Ciena, etc.).
Proven ability to develop and implement training programs and mentor technical professionals.
Experience operating in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Great-to-haves
Demonstrated experience in leading transformational change within technical teams, ideally within a networking context.
Hands-on experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Python, Jinja2).
Familiarity with the TM Forum's Autonomous Networks levels and concepts.
Experience with data modeling (e.g., YANG) and/or network element drivers is highly desirable.
Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
