Data Scientist in Responsible AI
Roche is seeking a Data Scientist in Responsible AI to join its Galileo program, a key initiative within Roche Informatics focused on leveraging artificial intelligence to drive innovation and improve healthcare outcomes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in embedding responsible AI principles into the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions across the organization. Working with multidisciplinary teams, including AI engineers, product owners, and compliance experts. You will ensure that AI applications meet ethical, regulatory, and performance standards. You will also help build automated tools for AI risk evaluation, bias mitigation, and compliance monitoring. This position requires a deep understanding of responsible AI frameworks, strong technical proficiency in Python and cloud platforms, and excellent analytical and communication skills. Requirements
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in advanced machine learning; 1+ year in Generative AI.
2. Proficiency in Python and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
3. Solid background in statistics, AI evaluation metrics, and bias mitigation.
4. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
5. Strong understanding of responsible AI principles and frameworks.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
7. Fluent in English; based near Madrid with hybrid work availability.
