Design Specialist II
TELUS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Design Specialist II to join its Fibre Networks team within New Growth Markets (NGM). In this role, you will oversee and deliver complex implementation projects, collaborating across departments such as Planning, Project Management, Construction, and Marketing. You’ll ensure project milestones are achieved efficiently while maintaining high engineering standards and strong stakeholder relationships. This role requires analytical thinking, leadership, and technical expertise to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance fibre delivery for TELUS PureFibre customers. Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2. 3–5 years of experience managing projects or leading cross-functional teams.
3. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
4. Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
5. Working knowledge of municipal/civil policies and engineering standards.
6. Experience with PureFibre infrastructure and engineering tools (e.g., SAP, AutoCAD, SpatialNet).
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Must follow safety regulations and best practices.
Nice-to-haves:
• Familiarity with JIRA, DOMO, FieldGlass, or CircuitVision.
• Experience with data analytics and Outside Plant estimation.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility with APEGA.
