Digital Solution Architect
Roche is seeking a Digital Solution Architect to provide expert technical consulting for digital solutions implementation at healthcare customer sites nationwide. The role focuses on ensuring successful deployment of digital products through collaboration with IT teams, managing infrastructure, networking, and software installation. The Digital Solution Architect reviews customer site readiness, designs IT project requirements, and manages risks and escalations during implementation. This position requires frequent travel (around 25%) to support installations and troubleshooting. Ideal candidates possess strong networking, infrastructure, and cybersecurity knowledge within healthcare, combined with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This role is vital in driving the successful adoption of Roche’s digital products by aligning technical solutions with business needs and regulatory standards.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience
2. 5+ years of related technical experience (enterprise software consulting, cybersecurity, network administration, lab information systems)
3. Strong problem-solving and communication skills
4. Preferred: 7+ years healthcare experience, technical knowledge in Microsoft Windows, IT Security, Networking, Intersystems Caché or IRIS
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices
6. Understanding of healthcare integration standards (ASTM, HL7, EMR, ADT)
7. Basic project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
8. Ability to troubleshoot complex IT, network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity issues
9. Comfortable engaging in customer-facing technical consultations and difficult conversations

Responsibilities
1. Provide technical consulting during late-stage sales and implementation phases of digital solutions
2. Review and validate customer site readiness and project scope from an IT perspective
3. Design, communicate, and gain agreement on IT project requirements aligned with Roche policies
4. Manage project resources, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure on-schedule delivery
5. Handle customer installation expectations, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed
6. Collaborate with customer IT groups to address security alignment and IT requirements
7. Partner internally to develop standardized server builds and transition to solution engineers
8. Conduct remote and on-site troubleshooting for digital solutions
9. Lead pre-implementation, implementation, and post-project review meetings
10. Serve as a technical resource on complex IT and security challenges
