Director, Access Strategy
Sanofi is seeking a Director of Access Strategy to lead the execution of U.S. market access strategies for the Dupixent Respiratory Franchise, including Asthma and COPD. This highly visible role will drive the development of payer-focused strategies, pricing and contracting approaches, and cross-functional alignment across brand, HEOR, and account teams. Working within a complex market landscape, the Director will ensure optimal access and business growth by integrating payer tactics into brand planning and enabling effective pull-through across commercial channels. The ideal candidate has significant experience in payer strategy and specialty pharmaceuticals and brings a strategic mindset, cross-functional leadership, and a passion for innovation in respiratory care. Based in either Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ, this hybrid role includes occasional travel and offers a chance to influence a high-impact portfolio with an industry leader committed to improving lives through science.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
2. 6-10 years in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
3. Minimum 5-7 years of payer experience (payer marketing, account management, contracting, etc.)
4. Deep understanding of U.S. healthcare dynamics, including commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid
5. Proven experience launching specialty products
6. Familiarity with specialty pharmacy distribution and payer strategies
7. Experience working cross-functionally with sales, account teams, and HEOR
8. Strong analytical, strategic planning, and financial acumen
9. Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills
10. Ability to manage vendors and cross-functional teams effectively
11. Willingness to travel up to 20%

Responsibilities
1. Lead strategic and tactical access planning for Dupixent Respiratory (Asthma & COPD)
2. Align payer marketing with brand strategy, life cycle planning, and pricing/contracting
3. Partner with HEOR to inform real-world evidence plans and demonstrate payer value
4. Identify payer insights and trends through research and advisory boards
5. Develop and implement value communication platforms and messaging
6. Advise on pull-through strategies across all geographies and payer channels
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on cross-functional alignment and execution
8. Support training and resource development for customer-facing teams
9. Manage agency relationships, including RFPs, contracting, and deliverables
10. Influence internal decision-making through data-driven recommendations
