Director of Software Engineering
TELUS is seeking a Director of Software Engineering - Global Platform Engineering to lead the creation and expansion of a new cloud-based Platform as a Service (PaaS) that will power innovation for TELUS and its global partners. Reporting to the Vice President of the Connected Home Division, you will oversee a world-class engineering organization, setting the technical vision, architecture, and delivery strategy. You’ll guide teams through the design, development, and operation of a scalable and reliable cloud platform that supports TELUS’ digital transformation goals. The role requires both strong technical leadership and the ability to inspire diverse global teams while fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to shape the next generation of TELUS’ cloud platform strategy, work with emerging technologies, and make a meaningful impact on a large-scale enterprise initiative.

Requirements
1. 10+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership in global teams.
2. Strong background in cloud computing, distributed systems, and AWS services.
3. Proven success developing and scaling cloud-based platforms or PaaS solutions.
4. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
6. Willingness to travel to engage with global teams and partners.
