Requirements
A Ph.D. In Statistics or Biostatistics with 10+ years of industry experience or an MSc with 15+ years of experience and a proven track record of innovation and strategic influence in pharmaceutical development.
Strong expertise in statistical methods, including causal inference and machine learning and in using real-world data to inform clinical development plans.
A demonstrated ability to influence decisions through data insights with experience in global scientific leadership and modern program/trial design methodologies.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working with -functional teams and external partners.
Strong leadership skills, able to drive alignment and maintain focus on program goals.
Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain methods to scientific and clinical colleagues.
Experience in building capabilities, within organizations.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Statistics Director to lead our Vaccines and Infectious Diseases team at GSK. You will drive innovation and turn insights into actions that impact global health. If you are passionate about innovation and have a background in statistics we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead strategy across multiple projects ensuring they meet business objectives and are scientifically sound. Act as an expert in innovation guiding teams and senior leaders.
Apply methods like causal inference, machine learning and real-world data analysis. Stay updated on the statistical methods and identify opportunities to use them at GSK.
Turn data insights into recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Work with teams, including Discovery, R&D and Medical Affairs and build partnerships with external partners.
Drive innovation by introducing approaches that improve project outcomes. Work with statistical leaders to foster a culture of innovation and learning.
People Leadership:
Lead a team of statisticians.
Mentor. Develop talent promoting technical excellence and career growth.
