Director, Portfolio Management Platforms
AstraZeneca is seeking a Director, Portfolio Analytics and Decision Support Capability to lead the evolution of its global portfolio and project management platforms. This pivotal role focuses on advancing tools such as the Portfolio Control Tower and Planview Advisor (PIVOT) to deliver powerful, data-driven insights that shape strategic R&D decision-making. The successful candidate will drive platform innovation, align cross-functional processes, and enhance system adoption across the organization. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop scalable analytics strategies, optimize decision support systems, and strengthen AstraZeneca’s enterprise portfolio governance. Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in portfolio analytics, data management, or decision-support systems.
3. Experience in global or matrixed organizations.
4. Proficiency with Planview Advisor or similar analytics platforms.
5. Familiarity with financial modeling (DCF, NPV, P&L, PTRS).
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
7. Understanding of drug development or pharmaceutical environments (desirable).

Responsibilities
1. Lead strategy and enhancement of portfolio analytics and decision support platforms (Control Tower, PIVOT).
2. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and platform performance.
3. Drive process optimization and change management for improved system adoption.
4. Deliver enterprise-level training and user enablement programs.
5. Support governance, data quality, and compliance across portfolio systems.
6. Provide analytical insights supporting strategic and long-term business planning.
7. Foster cross-functional collaboration to solve complex system and process challenges.
