Director, Strategic Accounts – MS (Mid-Atlantic)
Sanofi is seeking a dynamic Director of Strategic Account Managers (DSAM) to lead a high-performing team within its Neurology business unit, focused on Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This role is critical to the successful launch of Sanofi’s upcoming MS therapy and will drive strategic partnerships with Key Accounts and KOLs in the Mid-Atlantic region. The DSAM will coach and develop Strategic Account Managers, ensuring customer engagement, sales success, and strategic account growth. This leadership position blends sales strategy, team management, and deep industry insight to enhance patient access and product utilization. The ideal candidate brings proven success in MS or neuroscience markets, with strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a passion for innovation. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required (Life sciences preferred); MBA or advanced degree a plus
5-10+ years of pharmaceutical experience; MS market experience preferred
2+ years in sales leadership or strategic account roles
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel ~70–80%
Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills
CRM proficiency and Microsoft Office expertise
Experience managing large accounts and building cross-functional partnerships
Live within assigned territory (preferred)

Responsibilities
Hire, coach, and develop Strategic Account Managers (SAMs)
Achieve territory sales goals and manage strategic account plans
Build strong relationships with Key Accounts and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
Ensure successful product education, adoption, and patient identification
Analyze territory data, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with marketing, reimbursement, and market access teams
Oversee compliant execution of promotional strategies and events
Drive customer insights and field intelligence back to the home office
Facilitate HCP advocacy and thought leader development
Lead field execution during product launch phases
