Engineering Lead - SVP at Citi

Proven experience as an Engineering Lead, Software Engineering Manager, or similar role.

I am really good at programming languages, especially Python, Go and TypeScript. I also know a lot about the frameworks and tools that go with programming languages, like Python Go and TypeScript.

Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases.

Proven experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, container-based micro-services, distributed logs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and DevSecOps.

Experience working in a product focused team as opposed to a project focused team is beneficial.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for a GenAI Full-stack Engineering Lead who's good with technology to join our department. The GenAI Full-stack Engineering Lead will give guidance and help us make big decisions about the future of our software engineering work. This GenAI Full-stack Engineering Lead will help our company change the way we do things.

The GenAI Full-stack Engineering Lead needs to understand how to make good software and be able to teach the team how to do it too. The GenAI Full-stack Engineering Lead has to make sure everyone, on the team works well together and likes coming to work.

As the Engineering Lead you will need to show that you really understand what the users need. You will also need to help come up with the product vision. The Engineering Lead will work with a lot of technologies like Python, Go, TypeScript, React, Kubernetes and Mongo. The Engineering Lead will also work with Generative AI features. This means the Engineering Lead needs to be able to adapt to things and be willing to learn new technologies, like Python and Generative AI features.

Responsibilities:

I will be working with different teams at Citi not just the Technology team. My job is to help Citi teams use everything-as-code and adopt the tools and capabilities that Developer Engineering has to offer. I will work closely with Citi teams to make sure they have what they need to succeed with everything-, as-code and Developer Engineering tools.

Build AI-powered, data-intensive applications.

Be hands-on with coding and software design to ensure adherence to high quality standards and best practices.

I want to help other engineers learn and get better at what they do. This means I will guide them and support them as they grow their skills and become experts in their field, which is engineering. I will be a mentor, to these engineers. Help them every step of the way. The goal is to help these engineers become really good at engineering.
