Samsung Austin Semiconductor (SAS) is seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Material Management Leader to oversee and optimize materials, warehouse, and logistics operations at our Austin, TX facility. This is a full-time, on-site position, offering a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of semiconductor manufacturing.
In this critical role, you will lead end-to-end material management functions—including vendor and contract management, equipment logistics, inventory control, and compliance—while driving operational excellence across the supply chain. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, engineering, operations, and finance to ensure that all material flows support our advanced manufacturing and R&D objectives.
The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of progressive experience in materials and warehouse management, particularly within the semiconductor industry, and a strong understanding of Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), ERP systems, and supply chain best practices. You'll be expected to exercise independent judgment, lead process improvement initiatives, and use data to drive insights and decisions.

Requirements
Education & Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degree or APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a strong plus.
Professional Experience:
5–10 years in materials management, ideally within the semiconductor or high-tech industry.
Proven track record in warehouse operations, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
Experience with FTZ operations and international logistics is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
Familiarity with SAP Materials Management is preferred.

Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Highly analytical and detail-oriented.
Effective at problem-solving and resolving supply chain delays.
Capable of working independently and exercising sound judgment in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management:
Oversee receiving, storing, tracking, and distributing semiconductor equipment and components.
Ensure accurate inventory levels using ERP and inventory tools.
Monitor material flow to maintain supply for Fab and R&D operations.
Oversee deliveries of specialized and high-value equipment.
Vendor & Supplier Management:
Lead end-to-end vendor lifecycle: sourcing, qualification, negotiation, and performance evaluation.
Manage service and equipment contracts, renewals, and compliance tracking.
Process Optimization & Project Leadership
Identify gaps and implement process improvements to reduce cost and improve quality.
Drive lean logistics practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead and manage cross-functional projects with minimal supervision.
Regulatory Compliance & FTZ Oversight
Ensure compliance with local, federal, and international trade regulations, including FTZ operations.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for logistics-related SOPs and compliance issues.
Data Analytics & KPI Monitoring:
Develop and track KPIs for material accuracy, vendor performance, and warehouse productivity.
Analyze large data sets to generate actionable insights and close performance gaps.
Provide detailed reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on operations and inventory trends.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment:
Work cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, finance, and operations teams.
Act as liaison between procurement and internal stakeholders during supply disruptions.
Coordinate with end users to align delivery schedules with production demands.
