Finance Operational Risk Project Employee
Guidehouse is hiring a Finance Operational Risk Project Employee | Senior Consultant to join our Management Consulting practice. In this project-based role, you'll serve as a subject matter expert, overseeing risk assessment processes and guiding financial compliance efforts within large-scale banking environments, particularly with Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs). Your role will focus on supporting operational risk reviews, SOX compliance, and control assessments for finance functions such as month-end close. You will engage directly with clients, lead project workstreams, and mentor team members while ensuring high-quality deliverables. Successful candidates will bring experience in operational risk or compliance in banking, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with both domestic and offshore teams. This project runs through September 30, 2026, with hybrid or remote work arrangements and travel as required. Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. 3+ years of experience in the banking industry or financial services consulting
3. Experience with GSIBs (Global Systemically Important Banks)
4. Knowledge in operational risk, compliance, and SOX
5. Experience with RCSAs, process mapping, and risk assessments
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
7. Excellent presentation and communication skills
8. Willingness to travel and work onsite in NYC (3 days/week if local).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
9. CPA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certifications
10. MBA or Master’s in a related field
11. Prior management consulting experience
12. Experience working with offshore or distributed teams
13. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
