Requirements
Proven experience in a similar supervisory or first-line management role, with strong people management skills
Confident user of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and Transport Management Systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, drivers, and customers
Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities, able to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced transport environment
Knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements (e.g., WTD and drivers' hours) is highly desirable
Responsibilities
one of your role is to Lead and manage a team of mainly drivers and a small number of warehouse colleagues, ensuring effective task delegation and performance monitoring.

Carry out HR responsibilities such as 1:1s, performance reviews and absence management to support colleague development
I work with the customer to fix any problems they have. The customer service and the way things are done every day are very important to me. I want to make sure the customer is happy, with the service they get from the customer service team and that things run smoothly. This is what I do when I am liaising with the customer.
Manage on-site transport activity across a fleet of 6 vehicles, promoting safety, efficiency, and operational excellence
