Forbes is seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Social Strategy & Programming to lead its high-impact social media efforts across all platforms. This role will be at the forefront of shaping Forbes' voice and presence in the ever-evolving digital landscape. The ideal candidate is both a creative thinker and a results-driven leader who understands how to build standout social content, grow audiences, and elevate brand engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with editorial, sales, and events teams to deliver cohesive strategies and high-performing campaigns. This role requires experience managing social teams, developing new content franchises, and building relationships with platforms and creators. Some travel to events may be required. The position offers a dynamic, collaborative environment and is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, innovation, and leading in the social media space.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, and programming.
Proven leadership experience with direct reports and team management.
Deep knowledge of platforms like LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Messenger), TikTok, X, and BlueSky.
Strong storytelling, visual, and copywriting skills.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in using social data and insights to inform decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working closely with editorial teams.
Proficiency in social media management tools and content creation software.
Must reside in one of the eligible U.S. states listed above.
