Requirements

A pertinent engineering or science degree, or comparable experience acquired in a complex technical setting.
Extensive understanding of engineering maintenance techniques and processes, including reliability-centered maintenance and its execution.
Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to effectively engage at all organizational levels.
Strong IT and digital proficiency, with a solid understanding of relevant systems and software tools.
Demonstrable experience in people management or leadership, with the capability to motivate and guide others in achieving results.
A collaborative approach, building robust relationships across teams and disciplines to accomplish common objectives.

Experience in project planning and familiarity with planning tools and methodologies.
Comprehension of industry maintenance best practices, particularly within the rail or related engineering sectors.

Responsibilities

This position entails traveling to our Siemens sites throughout the UK approximately once a month, which may include overnight stays, facilitated by Siemens Mobility.

Formulating and executing strategic fleet roadmaps that encompass the complete lifecycle of all new and existing Siemens fleets, integrating heavy maintenance, innovation, optimization initiatives, and digital on-train solutions.
Developing comprehensive asset plans that enhance fleet performance and reliability, collaborating closely with customers to synchronize improvement initiatives with their operational objectives and Siemens’ global strategy.
Fostering strong customer relationships by participating in regular reviews, working together on mutual goals, and ensuring that all interactions embody Siemens’ “Think Customer” philosophy.
Promoting health, safety, and environmental excellence by implementing secure work systems, advocating for behavioral safety, and supporting Siemens’ dedication to sustainable practices.
