TELUS is seeking a Manager, Cybersecurity Engineering to lead a high-performing team within its CSO Security Platforms organization. This role is at the forefront of shaping TELUS’s cybersecurity future - integrating Cloud, AI, and automation into next-generation defense capabilities. As a visionary leader, you will define strategic direction, drive innovation, and oversee critical cybersecurity platforms protecting TELUS’s digital ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with security architects, operations, and executives to establish data-centric, intelligent security solutions aligned with the company’s transformation goals. The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience in cybersecurity domains such as IAM, network security, and cloud security, along with proven leadership in DevSecOps and Zero Trust environments. This is a rare opportunity to influence national cybersecurity strategy while leading a distributed team of Canada’s top security professionals. Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity (IAM, cloud, network, or Zero Trust).
3. Hands-on expertise with technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, PAM, SSE, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
4. Experience securing CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) and application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA).
5. Familiarity with AI/ML in cybersecurity (UEBA, threat analytics).
6. Strong leadership and communication skills to engage executives and technical teams.
7. Proven experience managing projects, budgets, and vendor relationships.
8. Ability to build and execute cybersecurity roadmaps aligned with organizational strategy.
Great-to-Haves:
9. Cloud experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
10. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SANS.
11. Understanding of data center and IT environments.
