TELUS is seeking a Manager, Strategy Development and Governance to join the Small and Medium Business (SMB) team, responsible for shaping the strategic direction of TELUS’s SMB portfolio. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong financial and analytical expertise, a consulting or corporate strategy background, and a passion for business transformation. You’ll lead a team of high-performing strategists, support executive planning cycles, and deliver critical insights to TELUS’s leadership. From annual planning to deep-dive market intelligence, your work will directly inform decisions that impact Canadian entrepreneurs and small business owners. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while influencing national business strategy.

Requirements
1. 7+ years of professional experience, with 2–3 years in team management
2. Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
3. Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
4. Strong business acumen with experience in strategic planning and financial modeling
5. Proven experience in consulting, corporate strategy, or FP&A
6. Comfortable working in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
7. Self-starter with a hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving
8. Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
Great to Have:
9 MBA or equivalent qualification
10 Experience in the telecommunications industry

Responsibilities
1. Lead the strategic planning cycle and monitor performance against KPIs
2. Develop strategy reviews and executive presentations
3. Provide support for Board-level materials and leadership updates
4. Mentor and manage a team of strategists to foster high engagement
5. Analyze market trends and competitor strategies in the SMB space
6. Create scenario-based financial models and strategic recommendations
7. Drive stakeholder alignment across cross-functional teams
8. Support strategic initiatives across the business
