Full Time Lead/Principal Healthcare and Social Services Hybrid

Sanofi is seeking a strategic and experienced Medical Education Lead to oversee the development and execution of the national medical education strategy for the Immunology portfolio in Canada. Reporting to the Medical Director/Head, this individual will lead a team of Medical Education Managers and drive the design, implementation, and measurement of medical education programs aimed at addressing healthcare gaps and improving patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, educational design expertise, and deep knowledge of the immunology therapeutic area.

Requirements

Master's degree in Science required

Advanced degrees (PhD, PharmD, MD) considered a strong asset

Experience:

Minimum 5+ years in Medical Affairs

Demonstrated leadership in developing national medical education programs

Proven experience collaborating with KOLs, patient groups, HCPs, and cross-functional teams

Strong understanding of immunology therapeutic areas, especially respirology, dermatology, and gastroenterology

Project management experience, including agency/vendor oversight

Skills and Competencies:

Expertise in adult learning theory, educational design, and outcome measurement

Strategic planning and operational execution

Strong business and scientific acumen

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

High attention to detail and compliance knowledge (IMC, CMA, CFPC, FMOQ, Royal College, ACME)

Stakeholder relationship management and facilitation skills

Entrepreneurial mindset and strategic agility

Team leadership and performance management

Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset

Technology Tools:

Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Travel:

15-30% travel expected, including some weekends (conferences, education programs, KOL engagements)

Responsibilities

Lead the Medical Education Team, setting clear objectives aligned with the brand strategy

Co-create national and regional education strategies based on customer insights and medical goals

Ensure cross-functional alignment across medical, commercial, and field teams

Represent medical education in strategic planning, brand reviews, and major congresses

Execution and Oversight:

Oversee development of accredited CME programs, symposia, speaker tours, and learning modules

Collaborate with internal teams (medical, commercial, compliance) and external stakeholders (KOLs, associations, universities)

Lead education initiatives at national/regional congresses

Ensure program accreditation, fair market value assessment, and internal compliance reviews

Pilot new education models using adult learning principles and digital formats

Track, report, and disseminate outcomes and metrics to internal teams and external stakeholders

Innovation and Improvement:

Build partnerships with academic institutions, education bodies, and associations

Stay current with trends in education, technology, and therapeutic advancements

Continually evolve strategies based on emerging healthcare gaps, competitor actions, and stakeholder needs

Support continuous development of internal staff in education methodology and compliance standards
