Full Time Junior Healthcare Administration Remote

Guidehouse is seeking a Patient Access Representative to perform remote patient registration and insurance verification while ensuring accuracy in demographic and coverage data. This full-time, work-from-home position supports hospital operations by reconciling census information, updating patient records, and resolving unbilled encounters. Candidates should have prior healthcare experience and be comfortable working across multiple systems during standard weekday business hours. Occasional work on holidays may be required. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth patient onboarding process and supports clinical and billing teams through timely and accurate data management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and skilled in electronic communication and multitasking in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Requirements

1. High School Diploma/GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent experience
2. 1-3+ years of healthcare-related experience
3. Knowledge of billing, collections, insurance claims, and patient registration
4. Familiarity with healthcare documentation and insurance verification
5. Ability to work standard weekday hours remotely
6. Comfortable toggling between multiple systems and applications

Responsibilities

1. Perform remote patient registration
2. Reconcile census data with patient registration records
3. Update patient demographics and verify insurance details
4. Identify and hold encounters requiring follow-up
5. Resolve unbilled encounters
6. Communicate electronically with providers and medical records
7. Attend and participate in daily team huddles via MS Teams
8. Meet productivity and performance expectations
9. Maintain accurate and secure handling of patient data
10. Work holidays that fall between Monday-Friday, as required
