Your Future Team
We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst to join the CTO Strategic Initiatives team focused on workforce planning and execution (Lighthouse). In this role, you will closely with the Head of Lighthouse. As a key member of this dynamic group, you will work with a cross functional group of business leaders, data scientists and program managers to shape the future of teams at Atlassian. You will work backwards from the business objectives, combine it will people data to deliver best-in class workforce plans for the organization.
Requirements
7+ or more years of relevant work experience.
Proficiency in SQL and other programming language (e.g Python, R)
Experience in data engineering concepts and managing data pipelines.
Expertise with at least one visualization tool (e.g. Tableau, R-Shiny, Microstrategy, SAP Business Objects, Looker, etc.)
Experienced in building data visualization that highlight insights and recommendations.
Ability to structure complex, ambiguous problems, derive insights from data, and articulate clearly with diverse teams up to the senior leadership level
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience working with people data (e.g., Workforce planning, talent acquisition and talent movement data) in an applied setting.

Responsibilities
Data-Driven Decision Making: Lead the development of analytical experiences to build, execute and inspect the workforce strategy at scale.
Strategic Partnership: Engage with business leaders to understand their business objectives and people goals to build their long range workforce strategy plans.
Engineering Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with central data and reporting tools to influence their roadmap, while raising the bar around data democratization and governance within the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional partners across Atlassian, including Business Stakeholders, Finance Partners, HRBPs and Talent Acquisition to drive story telling through data into initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in how analytics are delivered and consumed by functional teams.
