Principal Consultant
Capita is seeking a skilled Principal Consultant to join its Industrial Claims team in Manchester. In this pivotal role, you will manage high-value and complex industrial disease claims, including Mesothelioma cases, while overseeing technical standards, compliance, and team development. You’ll act as a technical expert, supporting colleagues, conducting audits, managing client relationships, and ensuring claims are handled efficiently and accurately. This position combines technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on claim management to maintain quality and regulatory integrity. Ideal candidates will have recent experience with industrial disease claims, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of medical and legal terminology. Responsibilities
1. Handle complex and high-value industrial claims, including Mesothelioma cases.
2. Define, implement, and monitor technical standards and compliance.
3. Conduct quality checks, audits, and regulatory reviews.
4. Provide technical coaching and mentoring to team members.
5. Represent the team in client meetings and manage internal technical queries.
6. Maintain a personal caseload to ensure expertise and reduce litigation risks.
7. Collaborate with team managers on training plans and performance improvement.
8. Oversee recoveries, investigations, and reporting processes.
9. Manage service provider performance and complaint resolution.
