Regional Account Manager, Neurology
Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease, is seeking a Regional Account Manager (RAM) for its Neurology franchise in Ontario. This field-based role focuses on driving awareness, access, and adoption of therapies for Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG) and Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD). You’ll be responsible for educating healthcare professionals, developing referral networks, and executing strategic account plans that align with business objectives. The RAM collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Medical, and Market Access, to enhance patient outcomes and overcome market challenges. With a strong foundation in rare disease or biotech sales, your skills in communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building will be essential to your success. Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree (BSc preferred)
2. 5+ years of field-based sales experience (preferably in rare diseases or biotech)
3. Proven ability to consistently deliver exceptional sales results
4. Strong relationship-building with healthcare providers in academic/community settings
5. Excellent communication, both written and verbal
6. Strong business acumen and analytical insight
7. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
8. Ability to travel frequently, including overnight and weekend travel
Desired Qualifications:
9. Advanced degree (MSc, MBA, etc.)
10. Bilingual in English and French
11. Experience in Ontario healthcare or rare disease markets

Responsibilities
1. Develop deep disease, product, and diagnostic knowledge to educate customers
2. Build strategic account plans for key treatment centres and referral networks
3. Implement promotional activities and regional congress engagements
4. Use CRM tools effectively for time and activity tracking
5. Monitor regional market dynamics and tailor sales strategy accordingly
6. Meet or exceed regional sales objectives consistently
7. Ensure compliance with Alexion policies and regulatory guidelines
8. Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, and Advocacy teams
9. Lead development of localized patient-centric tactics
10. Submit timely reports, complete required training, and manage workload efficiently
