Senior Automation Developer
The Senior Automation Developer at Roche Services & Solutions Center plays a critical role in transforming business operations through automation technologies like RPA, scripting, and desktop automation. This role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining automation solutions that improve Roche’s internal processes and ultimately support better patient outcomes. Working within a global, agile, and collaborative team, you will be the technical go-to expert, driving innovation by leveraging tools such as UiPath, Google App Script, SAP Scripting, and cloud platforms. You’ll engage with cross-functional teams including process mining and Lean Six Sigma experts to ensure that automation initiatives deliver measurable value. This position requires a blend of strong technical skills, agile mindset, and customer-centric collaboration to deliver robust, scalable solutions in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Salary estimate for position in India: ₹1,250,000 – ₹2,500,000 INR
Salary estimate for position in Malaysia MYR 90,000 – MYR 180,000

Requirements
1. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related technical field or equivalent experience
2. Minimum 2 years developing automation solutions with platforms such as UiPath or scripting languages (JavaScript, Node.js, .Net, VBA/VBS, Google App Script, SAP Scripting, Python)
3. 5+ years’ experience in business-facing IT or business/process analytics roles
4. Experience working in agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or XP
5. Experience in self-managed teams; familiarity with OKRs is a plus
6. Knowledge of DialogFlow, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon AWS, Yellow Messenger is a plus
7. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, test, and support automation solutions using RPA, scripting, and desktop automation tools
2. Serve as technical expert for automation implementations and operational questions, selecting optimal tools for use cases
3. Operate and maintain automation solutions, incorporating feedback from process owners
4. Embrace agile ways of working with fast iterations, lean documentation, and close global team communication
5. Collaborate with Automation, Lean Six Sigma, and Process Mining experts to co-create impactful solutions
6. Partner with Global Product Owners, developers, and Portfolio Managers to enhance cross-regional collaboration
7. Lead automation implementations with regional and global teams
8. Manage transition and ongoing maintenance of automations in production
