Senior Financial Analyst
TELUS is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst for a one-year contract to join the Gross Margin Planning team. This role is essential to shaping TELUS’s profitability strategy through detailed forecasting, data analysis, and collaboration with finance and marketing teams. You’ll analyze wireless rate plans and promotional pricing to inform business decisions, build predictive models, and deliver insights that drive margin growth and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates have strong technical and analytical skills, hands-on experience with SQL and GCP, and a knack for simplifying complex data into actionable strategies. Requirements
1. 3+ years of financial analysis experience
2. Proficient in SQL and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
3. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office/G-Suite skills
4. Experience in automation and process improvement
5. Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing and finance teams
6. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
7. Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders
8. Experience using AI tools for analytics is a plus

Responsibilities
1. Analyze and report on gross margin performance across TELUS’s wireless portfolio
2. Conduct variance analysis to identify key performance drivers
3. Build and maintain forecasting models and dashboards
4. Deliver insights to support pricing and promotion strategies
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies
6. Design and enhance automated reporting tools using SQL and Power Query
7. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data
8. Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as required
