Full Time Senior Artificial Intelligence Remote

TELUS is looking for a Staff Applied AI/ML Scientist to join its AI Accelerator team - a group dedicated to driving innovation and data-driven transformation across the organization. In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions that solve real-world business challenges. You will work on everything from generative AI applications to predictive analytics, collaborating across business units to unlock new opportunities and accelerate AI adoption. As a key technical leader, you’ll design scalable ML pipelines, automate model deployment, and build reusable tools that enable faster and more reliable results. You will mentor other data scientists and engineers, shape TELUS’s AI strategy, and represent the company as a thought leader in the AI/ML community. Requirements

1. 7-10+ years of hands-on experience in AI, ML, and data science.
2. Strong proficiency in Python, with libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy.
3. Expertise in ML algorithms including regression, classification, clustering, and reinforcement learning.
4. Experience with Generative AI applications and MLOps pipelines.
5. Proficiency in SQL, distributed computing, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
6. Knowledge of frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
7. Experience in DevOps/MLOps, version control (Git), and agile development.
8. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional and executive collaboration.
Great-to-Haves:
9. Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10. Cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Data Engineer).
11. 10+ years in data science with leadership experience in AI initiatives.
