Requirements
Proven hands-on experience working as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics or warehousing environment is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of warehousing operations is desirable.
• Prior experience in preparing, handling, and distributing high-volume orders.
Technical and IT Skills
• Computer literate, with practical experience using logistics and warehouse management software systems.
• Previous experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is an advantage.
Leadership and Organisational Skills
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to supervise, organise, train, and develop direct reports.
• Strong attention to detail and operational accuracy.
Performance and Team Leadership
• Ability to lead by example and motivate teams to consistently meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Responsibilities
Operational Performance and Reporting
• Support site management by monitoring, measuring, and reporting on the effectiveness and performance of all warehousing activities within the assigned operational area.
Team Supervision and Productivity
• Supervise day-to-day operations by clearly communicating job roles and expectations to direct reports.
• Coordinate and drive productivity to ensure all tasks are completed safely, on time, and to the highest operational standards.
Order Tracking and Systems Management
• Track and trace customer orders using DHL’s internal digital tracking systems.
• Ensure all records are accurately maintained and kept up to date to meet operational and audit requirements.
Health and Safety Compliance
• Promote, enforce, and continuously monitor adherence to all on-site Health and Safety policies.
• Ensure compliance with manual handling procedures and general workplace safety standards.
People Management and Development
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance appraisals, absence reviews, and development discussions with operational team members.
• Support employee engagement, capability development, and performance improvement initiatives.
Operational Cover and Flexibility
• Provide operational support and cover for other Team Leaders during periods of absence to ensure continuity of service.
