Technical Program Manager
Microsoft’s Manufacturing Test Solutions (MTS) team in the Windows + Devices Group is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead strategic, high-impact NPI (New Product Introduction) programs for Surface and Xbox. This hybrid role in Redmond requires strong cross-functional leadership, deep technical understanding, and experience managing end-to-end test strategies for hardware and enterprise-scale software. As a Level 63 TPM, you’ll work closely with engineering, operations, and supplier partners to execute complex initiatives and evolve Microsoft’s test infrastructure. You’ll also drive the use of AI, predictive analytics, and digital tools like Power BI to improve efficiency and decision-making. Your work will help shape the future of Microsoft’s devices by improving test coverage, reducing cycle time, and ensuring readiness from development through manufacturing.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data analysis, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. 4+ years in technical program management, engineering, or product development.
3. 2+ years managing cross-functional projects.
4. 4+ years leading hardware/software programs with direct accountability.
5. 4+ years working with external suppliers and partners.
6. 2+ years setting enterprise engineering roadmaps and aligning with leadership.
7. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
8. Proficiency in Power BI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Enterprise (preferred).
9. Familiarity with test systems, factory operations, and test analytics (preferred).
10. Ability to blend technical depth with business acumen.
