Translational Medicine Alliance Manager
AstraZeneca is seeking an Associate Director Translational Medicine Alliance Manager to lead and manage key partnerships and outsourcing strategies across the Early Oncology Translational Medicine team. This hybrid role is based in Mississauga, Ontario, and is integral to ensuring suppliers and diagnostic collaborators meet strategic and scientific objectives. You will serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to support prospective and retrospective studies, technology pilots, and new scientific collaborations. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in alliance management, scientific project oversight, and stakeholder engagement to foster innovation and deliver impactful research that shapes future oncology treatments. Requirements
1. Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field.
2. Minimum 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech; 2+ years in alliance management.
3. Strong scientific background with understanding of biomarker, study management, and clinical data.
4. Proven experience with contract negotiations and project portfolio management.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Highly proficient in MS Office, Smartsheets, and contract management tools.
7. Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a global, matrixed environment.
8. Knowledge of laboratory regulations (e.g., GCP, CLIA, CAP).
9. Familiarity with cloud-based procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa).
10. CA-AM certification preferred.
