Job Summary
Job Position:Transport Coordinator
Requirements
Real time data entry of transport activities on in-house systems.
Real time production of delivery documentation while ensuring timely dispatch.
Monitoring of temperature controlled deliveries within standard operating procedures.
Weekly and monthly reconcilliation of invoices for 3rd party providers.
Provision of temperature information for client shipments through the Polar Speed network.
Significant cost/time saving efficiencies.
Development of staff experience and competencies within the team.
Responsibilities
Adhere to strict standard operating procedures coordinating the transport demands through dedicated network and 3PL resources.
Input and update of internal records in relation to transport requirements via in-house systems and booking management for third parties accurately.
Participation/attendance in daily/weekly client/internal conference calls addressing and implementing operational changes, requirements and challenges.
Weekly/monthly invoice reconciliation for 3rd party transport partners.
Daily exception reporting and subsequent investigations/interventions where appropriate.
Provision of temperature information in relation to client shipments on a required basis.
To proactively review administration, transport and cost efficiencies.
Respond and provide administration support on client locations in telephone, email and written postal correspondence.
To be prepared for the roles evolution as the challenges and demands grow.
