OptumRx helps consumers obtain the medications and products they need to live healthier lives. OptumRx is a leading pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company managing the prescription drug benefit of commercial, Medicare and governmental health plans, as well as those of employers and unions.
The continuous growth and success of our organization has created the need for an underwriter who will also be involved with workflow coordination . This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop valuable skills and knowledge of the immensely complex and rewarding pharma industry. You will grow and leverage your analytical, critical, and strategic thinking skills combined with your mastery of excel and overall financial modeling. In addition, this role will help support the Workflow coordinator position which involves ensuring all incoming work is assigned and tracked. You will work in a collaborative fast paced environment with team members from across the company to drive better business results. This will be a gratifying role, that will give the opportunity to make an impact on guiding important business decisions each and every day.

Requirements
2+ years of financial/accounting analysis skills
Proven solid MS Excel and database querying skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Financial consulting experience
Healthcare or pharmaceutical background

Responsibilities
Support overall effort to win new business and retain current clients
Leverage business knowledge to propose solutions to business challenges regularly in a dynamic work environment
Build and maintain financial models to assist in the economic analysis of market alternatives
Evaluate and recommend alternative pricing options and plan design changes based on economic analyses and trends
Collaborate with the Sales and Proposals teams to project pricing and profit for a range of services and products the company offers
Gather, summarize and analyze detailed data
Provide critical back up to the work flow coordinator position
